The importance of procurement 

Gateway procurement was proud to have our director Daniel Usifoh present at the Bank of England – Bondholder & IoD Event held on Thursday, 7th March 2019 at DoubleTree by Hilton in Hull.

Following on from Andy Haldane (Chief Economist of the Bank of England), Daniel went on to speak about the importance of procurement on achieving business strategy and using it to drive innovation, profitability and growth

Daniel said “It was great highlighting the importance of procurement to local business leaders, the aim of the presentation was focused on educating local businesses on the evolution of procurement. The procurement function has evolved from just an order placing function into an important value adding function.”

Daniel also spoke about the significance of having the right procurement structure which is key to efficient and effective procurement.
